BOPSCA is a climbing club run by an enthusiastic volunteer group of climbers, and parents of climbers.
We unite to foster community, support excellence, and have a blast! Celebrating all climbing disciplines, we pride ourselves on our inclusive atmosphere, top-notch competitive climbers, national speed climbing facility, and a variety of impressive PB-dances.
BOPSCA’s Purpose
BOPSCA’s purpose is to promote, develop, foster and administer climbing, mainly as an amateur sport for the well-being, benefit and recreation of the general public in the Bay of Plenty.
We do this by organising and managing events, coaching sessions, uniforms, training resources, fundraising, administration, sponsorship and travel arrangements.
Friends of Rocktopia
BOPSCA is an independent club. We are closely aligned with, and great friends of, Tauranga’s best (and only!) commercial lead, top rope and boulder gym, Rocktopia. We call Rocktopia our home, where we hold our monthly ‘Boulder Battle’.
A climbing institution for more than a decade, Rocktopia supports BOPSCA’s community events, with BOPSCA supporting competitions and community.
