We will be combining this with a BYO social event, and prize giving for the Speed summer series.

Boulder Battles // 2025 series is on!

Join to great crowd at BOPSCA on these regular club nights of boulder problems, rope skills, games, pizza and a year-long climbing series.

Our more senior climbers will be setting a range of tough problems and fun & quirky puzzles. Send as many as you can to vie for a podium spot and prizes.

JJ will be setting rope-skills projects. This is a fun way to learn safety and smarts for your future outdoor rock climbing adventures.

This is a GREAT time to introduce new friends to climbing... bring them along for a super fun, very affordable way to get a taste of this great sport... on these Boulder Battle evenings everyone only needs to pay club fees, and not gym charges (but you will need the safety breifing and to sign a waiver if you are new...)

First Friday of every month - except March... when it is on the 14th.

Members: $10 per climber or $20 per family.
Non-members: First time - just $10 as well! Then join or $20 thereafter. (Join! We want more and more great people in our community!)

Format: 2 Qualifiers, 1 final

This event is a selection event for all athletes entered, and the only event for these categories for National and International selection for Lead Climbing in the 2024/25 season.

Get ready for a massive day of climbing, fun, and community as we celebrate our birthday with an exciting gym reset and an action-packed competition!

After the CNZ Youth & Masters Nationals we will be RESETTING the whole gym!! As it’s also our 5 year anniversary, this calls for.. A PARTY!

Event Schedule:

• Round 1: 1:00pm

• Round 2: 3:30pm

• Finals: 6:00pm – Top 6 climbers (male, female, and gender-inclusive categories) battle it out in a thrilling finals showcase.

• Aerial Hoop Showcase: 5:30pm – Enjoy a mesmerizing performance before the finals kick-off!

Entertainment:

• DJ Connexiones will be spinning tunes all day long.

• MC Zane Bray will keep the energy high and the crowd hyped.

Community Competition: To celebrate our 5 year Birthday and a  FULL GYM RESET and our brand-new grading system…… we’re hosting a fun competition on our freshly reset boulders! Choose between two climbing rounds (1pm or 3:30pm) and crush as many problems as you can for 2 hours.
Top 6 climbers will go head-to-head in the finals at 6pm. Categories include Youth, Opens, and Masters.

Get your Spider-Man on! The sun is shining and the weather looks like it will play ball on Saturday morning at the speed wall in Blake Park.

Everyone is welcome - we are thrilled with just how much interest the sport is getting following all the exposure and excitement of the Olympic games. This is your chance to give it a try.

Bring your water bottle, snacks and sunscreen. Bring your shoes and harness if you have them, but if not, we have some you can borrow.

It's $5 per climber on the day, or FREE if you are a BOPSCA member (it's a great reason to join - not to mention all those other benefits like our outdoor trips that will start up again in November...)

NOTE: The wall is an outdoor facility and climbing safely on it is weather dependent. While the forecast looks good, if things change then either rain or wind can make it unsafe to climb and we will close the wall. In that case, we will message here on Facebook, so please check back on Saturday morning before coming down.
